Re-established in 2023, Downpatrick Chess Club is a cross community intergenerational group that brings together local people including children, young people, and adults from the surrounding area of Downpatrick. Harnessing interest in the game the club opens up opportunities for members to meet, play and compete with others across the Newry, Mourne and Down district.
